Summer Challenge - Masterlist

The Lewis Summer Challenge 2015 produced a bounty of fics to enjoy. As is traditional, we have compiled a Masterlist of all the challenge entries so that you can catch up on any that you missed or revisit your favourite ones.

We have linked to the community entry, as people can then choose whether they wish to check out the entries on LJ or AO3.

Fanworks are listed by order of posting. Please see individual entries for pairing, rating, warnings and other information.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all participants (and those who supported them through betas, feedback and cheerleading) for making Lewis Summer Challenge 2015 such a great experience. As always, modding challenges for the Lewis Fen is a pleasure so thank you all for being so awesome! If you have any comments, suggestions or feedback, please don't hesitate to drop us a comment.

Looking ahead... lewis_challenge and we are having a little breather now for a few weeks. However, there is always something to look forward to here. This year we are planning a weekend Frightfest at Halloween so keep an eye out for further information over the coming weeks. And don't forget that it's less than four months to Christmas and thus Secret Santa 2015 sign-ups are also just around the corner...

Erm, hello. I don't think mine is on this list? You can find my community post here: http://lewis-challenge.livejournal.com/120335.html

Thousand apologies! You're added to the list now!

Thank you! :)

Thank you, Modly Mods!

Might I suggest a new challenge - The Trope Challenge? We could brainstorm tropes - only one bed at the inn! A stormy night! A car crash! Spooky house! No one knows they're dating! Secretly in love with one another!

I could go on. But I have to eat, so, I won't.

And now, on to read everyone's work that I wasn't able to get to yet!

I'm in!!! I adore tropes!

I had a sex pollen story, too, but...realized it just wouldn't work as a reason for what's going on in the story. Must now figure out a whole different reason for them to fornicate like bunnies. *sigh* *g*

I also have a story running through my head in which they have to get married to keep from being separated. Does that count as a trope?

Also...Everyone is gay/bi. Undercover as married.

And 'fuck or die'...yessssss!

I adore the undercover as married one. Seriously.

Oh yes, we like this idea. There's this well known tropes/cliches/kinks list that we could use... http://fanlore.org/wiki/List_of_Fan-fiction_Kinks,_Tropes,_and_Clich%C3%A9s

Would people like to pick one themselves... Or be randomly assigned one? Thoughts folk?

Oh dear god. That list should require a warning! I think my ovaries just popped out and went bouncing across the floor. And my eyeballs are rolling around like a cartoon character's.

Oh, the ideas! The plot bunnies! My brain is going to explode in a geyser of champagne and glitter*.

*Part of that image is borrowed from Perclexed. (I'll wipe it off before returning... lol)

Oops, forgot... (My brain is going to be offline for while after just glancing at that list. Bloody, freaking hell, that list!)

I'm maybe 65% choose my own trope, 35% have it assigned. Is there a way to do both? (Yes, I'm greedy. Why do you ask? *g*)

Assignment is fun, but...my brain keeps going back to that list. Oh, that list! Oh, the plot bunnies! *whimper* My brain hurts...

Hmm, hmm, there could possibly be a way of having one's trope cake and eating it too. Maybe something like getting three randomly assigned tropes which would minimise the possibility of getting something that's a no-go? The mods shall cogitate so expect a poll about this relatively soon.
3rd Sep, 2015 22:45 (UTC)
I would love a trope challenge, but would hate to be assigned a trope. Some tropes I love; others are no-go areas, squicks or even triggery for me, so if it was 'you get what you're given', then I wouldn't sign up.

But on a choose-your-own basis, I'm in! Let's do it!
5th Sep, 2015 17:21 (UTC)
Understandable. Do you think something like being randomly assigned three tropes would work? That would give some choice and lower the probability of getting something that's a hard limit. And in the case everything would be a firm no, you could have another go... Thoughts?

We like the idea of a trope challenge definitely so expect a poll about it next week probably. Only thing is that we'd probably look at running it instead of the Fright Fest as there's not enough time to do both before Secret Santa time...

Just realised I left a comment at Inspector Lewis instead of here...
Still behind on reading but this list is a great help. Thanks for running the challenge!!

I am always behind on reading! I've been reading some fics from the last three challenges lately...

The author marked it as members only so you'd need to be a member to read it. However, the link to the fic is here - http://archiveofourown.org/works/4585818?view_full_work=true
